Hey, does anyone know why there are no open pools at sports challenge at the moment and when it'll be available again?

Well, to be quite honesty, we don't know what you all might want in the sports challenge pools. See, here's the thing. Football, and college football were fairly easy to put up since the games aren't too constant. With the NBA, or with baseball, it's a lot harder, because well, there are games practically everyday, and we don't have the time to put them all up, and then edit the scores for the games. So, to be quite honest, the next pools you might see will be when the NFL season starts up again unless someone comes up with a bright idea. Any suggestions anyone?

Well there's plenty of baseball going on, and the basketball playoffs are starting soon. Maybe you could pick a few baseball games a week and use them. Plus I'm sure there's soccer going on somewhere.

Thing is, everybody here's from all over. So, I mean, which baseball teams would we pick? As for the NBA playoffs, I might do those myself. They'll be fairly easy, and manageable. lol if the NHL was still on, I would've also been able to do the NHL playoffs, but well...there we go!
We'll see what we can do.
As for soccer, if anyone really wants it, just let us know. Hmmm, maybe we can do other countries or something since Soccer in the U.S ain't worth jackshit!

There are some teams of several sports who are popular in several countries. For example, people who are outside the USA (or even those who live in the US) might know some of our German or of the English socker teams, or we know some American basket ball teams.

Well, here's what I'm gona do. When the NBA playoffs start, I'm gona try to put up the teams for it since all of you seem to want basketball, and we'll see how that goes. As for soccer, hmmm, maybe I can get Dobbin, or one of the others to do it. We shal see...I'll keep you all updated...

Well maybe for baseball you can take the Sunday night game they have on Espn. There are different teams every week and it'd be easy to get one game up there.

Yeah, one game a week wouldn't be that bad. And the world series would be nice. You could either do pools for all 7 games (if all 7 are played), or just have everyone pick an overall winner. The second option may not be as fun, but... it'd probably be easier.

What about prowrestling in sports chalendge?

Post 10 by krisme (Ancient Zoner) on Thursday, 14-Apr-2005 8:37:39

Hmm, interesting. I'm not much of a wrestling fan, but there are plenty of them on here. But that would open it up to a lot of other sports, like maybe golf and tenness. Those are popular around the world.

Just an idea.

Yeah, I don't see why soccer/football couldn't be an option once the poste season starts, but we would need a site to pull the games from. It's not very widely covered in the US, so we would need something like that. Unless Dobbin wants to put that together.

Yeah, Scot's right. If any of you know a soccer cite, please send it to us, and we'll take a look at it. Please make sure it's at least pretty accessible with Jaws, and let us know which teams, and or games you might be most interested in.
Thanks for the suggestions!
